Daryl Hall and John Oates in Las Vegas
August 23 and 24, 1996

Review by Gina Negron

The Vegas shows were awesome...for lack of a better word. I will be on a high for a good month or so. Friday night's audience was disappointing to say the least but I played my part as the cheerleader well! Saturday night's show seemed a lot more at ease in regards to the band...Daryl even danced a bit! The man is gorgeous! His hair was looking so good...as it always does! It was thrilling to hear "How Does It Feel to Be Back" and after the song Daryl commented, "I love the harmonies in that song! " Bobby Mayo made a special appearance at the Aug. 23rd show. Daryl sang "Something About You" which was absolutely incredible. For those of you who haven't heard it yet...you're in for a real treat! After he finished he said, "Please buy my album...pl ease!" At the Sat. night show after he sang "Something" Daryl said, "I hope you liked that one." A fan cried out, "I haven't heard a song I haven't liked yet!" How true. I was tempted to yell out, "Well...maybe except 'Winged Bull'" but I was too shy! They came back for one encore..."You Make My Dreams" and then it was all over much too soon but as all of you know too well you can never get enough of the boys! I had a wonderful time and I got to meet up with Diane and Carlie. There was even a fan fr om Japan there! Anxiously awaiting Daryl's album and a new Hall & Oates album!!! Saving those pennies for next summer!!! One regret....they didn't play "Las Vegas Turnaround."
