Daryl Hall and John Oates at Trump Plaza

I've really enjoyed reading everyone's enthusiastic reviews of their concert experiences so I'd like to share mine. I saw Daryl and John last night at Trump Plaza, Atlantic City. I was fortunate enough to attend a pre-show coctail party where I got to meet Daryl and John! They stopped in briefly to take pictures with the fans. I asked Daryl about his new CD and he told me they were selling advanced copies outside the showroom. I asked him if what comes out in the store will be the same and he said the cover picture might be different. Daryl was really nice and extremely GORGEOUS. It was adorable the way he would lean his head to the side toward the people standing between he and John when taking each picture. I didn't get a chance to say much to John because the photographer wanted to keep the line moving, but I did give him a kiss on the cheek. When I went downstairs to where the showroom is, I stopped to buy Can't Stop Dreaming and who was standing next to me? None other than Charlie DeChant. I wasn't sure if it was him at first because he wasn't wearing his concert clothes (a white suit) and I didn't think he'd be standing outside the showroom a half hour before the concert. He was also very nice. He said he didn't play on Can't Stop Dreaming. I asked him if the last Trump Plaza show was also the end of the tour and he said yes but that Daryl might go to Japan. The songs Daryl and John sang were basically as Marc reported - Everything Your Heart Desires, Out of Touch, Say It Isn't So, How Does It Feel To Be Back, Starting All Over Again, She's Gone, Something About You, One on One, Everytime You Go Away, Sara Smile, I Can't Go For That, Maneater, So Close, (Encore #1) Rich Girl, You Make My Dreams, (Encore #2) Me & Mrs. Jones. Daryl was pretty talkative and the crowd was an enthusiastic one (I did my part, screaming and clapping all night). After Starting All Over Again, someone yelled out "Temptones" and Daryl laughed and said "You can only dig so deep." You could hear the audience singing along to many songs, especially during Sara Smile, I Can't Go For That, and Me & Mrs. Jones. Some couples even got up and danced to Me & Mrs. Jones. Daryl didn't play the keyboards until I Can't Go For That and I think he only played them again for Rich Girl and You Make My Dreams. I wish he'd go back to playing the keyboards more. I love watching him play. He seems to have the most fun when playing the keyboards, especially on I Can't Go For That-he smiles and flings his hair around as Charlie DeChant does his brilliant part. I also wish Daryl would dance the way he used to but at least Daryl and John's voices are as great as ever. I'm still hoarse from all the screaming I did but I've still got a smile on my face and now I'm going to go listen to Daryl's new CD!
